We visited Richmond during our 1980 cross-coutry road trip with Lynn, Wyatt, and my parents.
The Virginia State Capitol is the seat of state government of the Commonwealth of Virginia located in Richmond.
It houses the oldest elected legislative body in North America first established as the House of Brgesses in 1619.
Thomas Jefferson is credited with the overall design together with French architect Charles-Louis Clerisseau.
